Open Weight Models

Loading models… Unlike the hosted models directory, these aren't billed per token — you run them yourself, so what matters is parameter count, license, and hardware footprint rather than a $/1M price.

Open weight vs. hosted

"Open weight" means the trained model parameters are published for download and self-hosting — it doesn't necessarily mean the training data or code is open too (that's the narrower "open source" bar). Licenses vary widely: Apache 2.0 and MIT impose no real restrictions, while licenses like Meta's Llama Community License or Google's Gemma License add usage conditions (e.g. a monthly-active-user cap or an acceptable-use policy) worth reading before a commercial deployment. Several of these models are also sold as hosted, pay-per-token endpoints — see the Models Frontier directory for that pricing.
